The 41-year-old is currently touring with his new album, Big Night, but admitted he is finding it tough spending so much time away from fiancé Emily MacDonagh and their seven-month-old daughter Amelia.

Emily is currently living back with her parents in Somerset while she completes her medical degree at Bristol University, leaving the couple’s £2 Million mansion in East Grinstead decidedly empty.

And poor Pete has admitted he is sometimes staying up 20 hours a day in order to drive down and see Emily and Amelia.

But things aren’t set to get better for the couple any time soon, with Pete revealing he will encourage Emily to pursue a career as a doctor once she graduates in January.

This will undoubtably involve long working hours away from the family, but Andre said they will ‘make it work,’ even if that involves Pete becoming a stay-at-home Dad.
