They narrowly missed out on the Love Island crown

They were among the favourites to win, despite being plagued during their time on the show by accusations that their relationship was “fake”, before then being hit with rumours they’d split just days after leaving the villa.

But Molly-Mae Hague says that now she and boyfriend Tommy are out in the real world, they are going to prove to the critics just how loved-up they really are.

Molly-Mae, 20, says, “I’ve been trying to work out why people said what they’ve said. This is the most real thing I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m just excited to prove everyone wrong.”

WATCH Harley, Chris and Francesca react to Love Island's most shocking moments

Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 20, coupled up in the second week of the show, and were the longest-running couple on this series, leaving the villa as boyfriend and girlfriend.

And Molly-Mae says she believes this could be the real deal, and that she can even see herself marrying the boxer.

She says, “My sister said, ‘I think this could be it for you’. It’s very exciting for my family to be able to see how happy I am. So yeah, I think he could be The One. Marriage is a long way off, but we’re so happy right now, and I can’t see anything coming between us.”

She says, “Tommy’s actually more domesticated than he thinks! He learnt a lot in the villa. He may not have been able to make green tea at the start, but he definitely knows how to make it now. I’m quite domesticated, so I’m excited to teach him the things I know.”

Tommy added, “There’s always time to learn”.

And Tommy says that he can’t wait for Molly to meet his pro boxer brother, Tyson Fury, and thinks the pair will get on well. He says, “Tyson will love Molly – at the end of the day, what isn’t there to like about Molly? She’s a terrific girl."
