We've been thinking about TOWIE's Mia Sully a lot this week – and honestly, we just hope she's okay; we know a good solid 'hun' when we see one. But nothing can bring a good 'hun' down; not even an alleged firing and an, erm, a complicated friendship group.
According to recent reports, TOWIE newbies Hannah Voyan and Mia were the latest victims of the now annual cast cull, despite only appearing in one series (and they only popped up halfway, thanks to the behaviour of axed friend Pia Smith). It's claimed that producers decided to "cut their losses" and not invite Hannah and Mia back to appear on the show next year as the pair failed to make much of an impact when they debuted in September 2022.
It was later claimed that Hannah had secretly had an off-screen boyfriend for over a year when she was spotted holding hands with convicted criminal Kirk Holdrick outside London restaurant Sexy Fish in September. According to reports, her 'boyfriend' went on the run from police in November following an alleged altercation with Hannah’s ex. Kirk has a criminal past after attempting to rob a Securicor vehicle at gunpoint with an accomplice in May 2004.
All in all, the new TOWIE trio plan by producers bombed, leaving Mia the only one standing; unfortunately, she was standing right in the firing line.
We didn't get to see much of Mia on TOWIE, but on social media she comes across as pretty harmless, unproblematic and chilled, and it appears, despite the alleged career news, she's determined to keep the good vibes rolling into the next chapter of her reality star/influencer journey – wherever that may take her.
In a recent Instagram Story vid, Mia was all smiles bopping along to Good Vibes by Ayah The Light and honestly, we love to see it.
We were still getting to know Mia, but one thing we know for sure is that her luscious, brunette locks are so perfectly slick, wavy and shiny, that if we were a Borrower we'd slide right down them, climb back up and slide right back down again. This girl knows how to rock some extensions and make them look effortlessly natural.
And, as it turns out, her natural hair is just as lush and gorgeous - well, she doesn't seem to think so, but we certainly do. And that SHINE; we've not met Mia in person yet, but when we do, we're using her locks as a mirror.
Mia took to her Instagram Story back in October to share an update with her 209k followers and to be honest, we didn't hear a word we said because we were hypnotised by her natural 'do.
She told fans, "I just really don't know how I'm feeling about this natural hair, to be honest. It feels very short, but I do think it's a lot classier. Maybe we'll keep the natural hair for a little bit."
Mia. Stop. Your natural hair looks like it was made at Hotel Chocolat and we want to eat it.
Show bosses first gave fans a glimpse at Mia and Hannah’s introduction to the rest of the cast with a series of first-look images in October 2022.
The pictures showed Mia and Hannah arriving at a wellness retreat to join the rest of the cast.
They later made an appearance at Amber Turner’s surprise birthday party, where it was revealed that Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell had taken a shine to Hannah.
According to reports earlier this year, Mia was “headhunted” by TOWIE bosses but “only agreed to do it if her two best friends could join the cast too”.
“The three girls are going to cause a major stir when they arrive in the second episode of the upcoming series. The show has been a bit lacklustre in recent years, but bosses are confident this sexy trio of troublemakers will really spice things up,” a TV insider told The Sun.
Mia, Hannah and their BFF Pia Smith flew out to the Dominican Republic back in June to film with the rest of the cast, but their first scenes had to be reshot when Pia was sensationally axed from the show “due to a breach of contract” before she’d even appeared on our screens.
When Mia was first rumoured to be joining TOWIE, fans took to social media to share their excitement – including one who wrote, “Fans are beyond excited by this news. One person tweeted, "Mia being on #towie is the best news I’ve heard in ages, go on girl."
Another tweeted, “Apparently @mialindasully has reportedly joined #TOWIE after being ‘headhunted’ by bosses. I am not surprised, I loved her on Absolutely Ascot and she is a firecracker and always dresses slick. I can’t wait for the new season."
