Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks appeared to confirm their rumoured romance with some PDAs last week – and now insiders say Maura is staking her claim on her man.
The Love Island icon, 33, and Strictly star, 36, were spotted getting cosy last week at the Pride of Britain Awards afterparty. Maura – who was linked to Pete back in August – reportedly planted a kiss on the TOWIE lothario’s nose, before smooching him on the lips.
But with rumours having swirled of a blossoming romance between Pete and his Strictly partner Jowita Przystal, 30, a source says jealous Maura is now putting her foot down.
They reveal, ‘Maura has warned other love rivals that Pete is all hers. She wasn’t messing about – she knew exactly what she was doing when they had their PDA at the Pride of Britain Awards. She has put a firm ownership stamp on her man as she steps up the commitment card.’
But while Maura is desperate to make it ‘official,’ the source says Pete is ‘enjoying the current dynamic.’
They add, ‘Pete adores Jowita – she’s opened up a part of his life he could never face before and given him this newfound love of dance – but Maura’s not sitting on the fence any longer. The green-eyed monster has got the better of her. She’s told pals that Jowita may be his on-screen partner, but when those cameras stop rolling, he’s all hers. She’s claimed her man, and Pete will have to step up and own it.’
