Despite being one of the most influential couples in the movie world, Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley have strived to keep their personal lives out of the public eye.
But as the pair prepare to welcome their first baby, photos taken on their extravagant Mediterranean babymoon have provided a rare glimpse into their relationship. Margot, 34, looked every inch the radiant mum-to-be, revealing her bump in a black bikini while soaking up the Italian rays alongside her husband.
Travelling in style, the A-listers experienced the beauty of Palmarola Island on board a $250 million super-yacht called Multiverse, where they were joined by pals including a smitten Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, as well as British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and top producer Brian Grazer and his wife Veronica Smiley.
As well as unwinding with friends, Barbie iconMargot and big screen hotshot Tom, 34, made the most of the idyllic setting by getting cosy on a two-person jet-ski, going for a dip in the crystal waters and walking along the coastland, before cooling off with a drink in the shade. Clearly aware that life will change after they become parents, the couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other – making for some steamy moments. At one point, the couple were photographed boarding a smaller boat, with Tom helping his pregnant wife up by cheekily placing a hand on her bum.
Australian Margot and Surrey-born Tom got together in 2014 after meeting a year earlier on the set of Suite Française. Their relationship was originally platonic, and they moved into a house-share in London, with other friends, before taking the plunge romantically. As their relationship blossomed, they wasted no time joining forces, co-founding production company LuckyChap alongside pals Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara.
They tied the knot in December 2016, and while the pair have rarely offered an insight into their marriage, Tom once said about achieving their work-life balance, ‘It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.’
In July, sources confirmed to People that Margot and Tom were expecting their first baby. While the couple have not publicly commented on their exciting milestone, Wolf Of Wall Street actress Margot has previously opened up about her dream of a big family.
While she acknowledged in 2018 that she was not ready for children at the time, she added, ‘If I’m looking into my future, 30 years from now I want to see a big Christmas dinner with tons of kids there.’
Last month, a commuter was left starstruck when she spotted down-to-earth Margot and Tom on a train from King’s Cross to Edinburgh, while the actress tucked into a Pret A Manger sandwich. ‘She’s absolutely stunning, even with barely any make-up on. It’s my absolute biggest celebrity spot to date – she’s A-star royalty,’ the commuter said.
In 2019, Margot touched on her health and fitness habits, revealing in an interview thatshe loves ‘food, wine and having a good time with my friends’.
She added, ‘But I also don’t love the feeling of knowing that I don’t look my best. I’m always going to be walking the line between having as much fun as possible and continuing to take care of myself. Eating well and exercise need to be prevalent in my life so that I can feel my best, but I don’t want to dwell on it too much.’
In addition to Pilates, the star listed tennis, running and dancing as her go-to exercise methods – which she will no doubt be tapping into to keep healthy during her pregnancy.
