Lauren Goodger’s sex shame: slammed for luring girls into porn

As Lauren Goodger is branded “shameful” amid claims she’s encouraged women to take up sex work, pals say she’s distraught it may scupper her chances of finding love

She raised eyebrows recently when she posed fully naked for a raunchy new photo shoot, with pals revealing she was keen to amp up her sex appeal.

But last week, Lauren Goodger, 32, was accused of going too far after she encouraged women to sign up to London Gems – a model agency that trains and recruits women for webcam work that is promoted on adult entertainment websites, including Adultwork.com.

She shared a controversial advert on social media, which offered women the opportunity to earn £1,000 upwards a week from webcam work. But many of her followers quickly slammed her for trying to recruit girls for the adult entertainment industry.

One outraged fan commented, “Supposed to be a role model to people especially the younger ages that look up at you and you’re advertising sleazy c**p like this? Should be ashamed.”

While another even accused her of being a pimp, writing, “P£mp”, and another posted, “And she calls herself a social influencer! So influencing young, naïve girls to become webcam strippers is the lowest of the low.”

The former TOWIE star later removed the post, which was shared just weeks after it emerged webcam girl and graduate Hope Barden, 21, had died after strangling herself when a sex act performed for cash on-camera went wrong.

In the post, Lauren highlighted the benefits of webcam work – failing to draw attention to any of the potential risks. Now pals say Lauren is upset by the backlash, admitting she didn’t really think things through.

A source says, “Lauren wanted to promote a way for women to work from home, and didn’t really consider the consequences. It’s so easy to post without thinking it through, and it wasn’t until the backlash that she took it down.”

The London Gems site is linked to Adultwork.com, which features profiles advertising graphic sex acts and escort services.

It’s not the first time Lauren has been embroiled in a sex scandal. In October she was forced to deny she was venturing into porn after revealing she was set to join the subscription-based app, OnlyFans – whose users include amateur porn stars and web-cam girls posting explicit content.

A month later, she launched an adult dating site with X-rated offerings.

As Closer has previously revealed, Lauren is on a mission to “sex-up” her image, stripping naked in a shower for a steamy photoshoot and posting a string of revealing selfies on Instagram.

And pals say it’s all in a bid to find love, as she hopes flaunting her sex appeal will finally get her the husband she longs for.

The source says, “Lauren thinks the type of men she appeals to are highly-sexed alpha males, so she wants to make sure she looks as sexy as possible.

“But she’s now worried she could have ruined her chances of finding the right man with all this backlash. She regrets posting the advert, and is worried her reputation has been cheapened, and that it’ll have the opposite effect. It’s her worst nightmare.”

The unlucky-in-love star, who was pictured last week enjoying a picnic date during filming of Celebs Go Dating, has had a notoriously rocky private life – breaking off her engagement to childhood sweetheart of 11 years, Mark Wright, in 2011, amid cheating allegations, and enduring a “toxic” four-year romance with Jake McLean, which ended in 2016.

She then split from jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison last July, amid claims he’d sexted other women.

The source adds, “Lauren’s pals are concerned she’s going about things the wrong way and risks getting hurt again – attracting a man who’s simply after sex, rather than a genuine guy who will love her unconditionally. But she’s hellbent on continuing on her mission to catch the eye of Mr Right.”
