TOWIE’s Lauren Goodger is no stranger to editing her photos but this time it’s a childhood snap that has got the Photoshop treatment.
Lauren took to Instagram to share a tribute to her dad with a cute snap of them together from when she was five years old. But owners of her 2013 autobiography Secrets of an Essex Girl were will know that the original version of the pic appeared in it and it looks markedly different to the image she posted.
In the edited snap, Lauren appears to have smoothed the skin of both herself and her dad, plumped both of their lips, and lengthened her hair.
But the OG TOWIE star thinks people's concerns about the altered pic are laughable.
Her spokesperson claims that Lauren’s sister filtered the photo before sending it - and Lauren had no idea when she posted it and thought it was the same as the one that's in her book.
They told The Sun, “Lauren actually thinks it’s funny people are more worried about her photos being filtered than the pandemic or the global economy.”
In 2018, Lauren was accused of the “worst Photoshop ever” after posting a sultry snap of herself in white lingerie.
"Learn to edit your pics properly 🙈 you look disfigured”, said one commenter and another wrote, "Either the weirdest shaped ass I’ve ever seen or airbrushed to f--k, I wonder which...?"

Amber was part of a mega cull of seven Towie characters in January 2018. She claimed that she and her boyfriend Chris Clark were cut because they were happy. They've now split and Chris has reappeared on the show.

Mike Hassini brought a hot bod to Towie and...not much else. He was cut in January 2018 due to a lack of storylines as he was loved-up outside the telly show.

Fran's original romantic interest was Tom Pearce but he stepped aside to allow Diags to woo her. Bad luck. Their relationship was turbulent but apparently not turbulent enough for show producers. Diags stayed, she went.

Jasmin managed eight series until she was given the boot. In 2015 her agent stated: "TOWIE is very storyline dependent and Jasmin did not have much going on that we could show on screen."Ouch. She went on to audition for The X Factor. It did not go well. She also took part in reality show Desi Rascals, that lasted for one series.

She’s also undergone a major image overhaul since her TOWIE debut with many lamenting the fact she looks “unrecognisable” following a number of cosmetic procedures.
"Lauren’s friends have been quite concerned about her lately. She’s been going through a bit of a tough patch and her confidence is really low,” a source told Closer last year.
"She’s been open about cosmetic surgery in the past, but friends think she might be taking things too far now in a bid to boost her self-esteem and impress a new man."
