Viewers have witnessed dozens of heated rows between the Kardashian sisters in the past and it seems that another feud is about to explode as Khloe and Kim are locked in a fight for the same man: Hollywood hunk Michael B Jordan.
Speaking exclusively to Closer, our insider reveals, "Kim and Khloe have always thought that Michael’s a total hottie and both have admitted they’ve had eyes on him since he split from his girlfriend, Lori [Harvey] two years ago.
"Kim hung out with him at a Lakers game a few months after his break-up and they swapped numbers then, but it wasn’t until earlier this year that their conversations got flirtier. At first she kept it quiet from the rest of the family. But then Khloe - who befriended Michael when she hired his trainer, Corey Calliet, for Revenge Body in 2021 - mentioned how he’d sent her a beautiful bouquet of flowers on her 40th birthday, sparking some flirtatious banter between them."
The insider continues, "When Kim found out about that she was fuming and told Khloe to back-off. Michael has been guiding her with her upcoming Netflix movie and she knows how much kudos it would give her as an up-and-coming actress to date an established Hollywood actor."
This isn’t the first time that Kim, 43, and 40 year-old Khloe - who have notched up four divorces between them - have turned their attentions to the same man. Following her break-up from comedian Pete Davidson in August 2022, Kim was briefly linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr, who Khloe reportedly dated back in 2016.
Following her fling with Odell, 31, later that year, Khloe began dating basketball player Tristan Thompson - with whom she went on to welcome daughter True, six, and son Tatum, two. After a tumultuous five years together, the pair split for good when Tristan, 33, welcomed a son in December 2021 with another woman whilst still in a relationship with Khloe.
Khloe’s first (and so far only) marriage came in the form of Lamar Odom, with the duo tying the knot in 2009. Eventually Khloe filed for divorce in 2013 after the basketball player’s infidelity and addiction struggles became too much for her to cope with.
Meanwhile, Kim has been married three times: first to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 until 2003 and then to NBA player Kris Humphries for just 72 days in 2011. The SKIMS creator’s most recent divorce in 2022 was from rapper Kayne West - with whom she shares daughters North, nine, and Chicago, five, and sons Saint, seven, and Psalm, three – eight years after the pair tied the knot.
In the latest series of The Kardashians, Kim and Khloe spoke at length about their respective dating lives with Kim opening up about wanting to find a new partner. She recently joked, "It’s so funny because my kids try to set me up… They’re so particular - they make lists!"
Khloe on the other hand, seemed to have taken a step back from the dating scene in an effort to focus on herself and her two kids following years of heartache saying, "I don’t want anyone stopping my routine. I’m comfortable in my rhythm."
But now Closer’s sources suggest that Khloe has recently had a change of heart and is keen to put herself out there - especially if it’s with Michael, 37, who was named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2020.
They reveal, "Khloe was gutted when Kim revealed she’d been speaking to him too, and was really hurt that Kim just expected her to bow-out - especially when she’s been through so much hurt over the last few years and Kim has been the one pushing her to get back on the dating scene.
"As always with their sibling squabbles Kris stepped in and eventually sided with Khloe, reminding Kim how long it’s taken her sister to even get to this place and how it should be Khloe’s turn to pursue this chance of happiness."
After dipping her toes into the acting world throughout her career - most recently appearing in the TV drama American Horror Story - Kim is set to produce and star in the upcoming Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel in her latest mission to conquer Hollywood.
As a result, dating Michael - who has seemingly been single since he broke up with Lori, 27, after nearly two years together - may hinder her progression. Instead, she’s happy to let Khloe date Michael, as long as she can pick the Emmy-nominated star’s brains about pursuing a career in acting.
"On reflection, Kim realised that as hard as it might be, she needs to put her sister’s happiness before her own and clear the path for Khloe whose life has been turned upside down since having her children," insiders explain.
"Khloe was very grateful to Kim and while it’s still very early days with Michael, she appreciates being able to explore their relationship on a deeper level without her sister lingering on the sidelines. They agreed that Kim could still continue to receive support and advice from him, just on a strictly friendship level."
