Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s romance hit the headlines last year and, according to insiders, their dramatic break-up is still rumbling on.
Their unexpected nine-month relationship – which followed her shock split from troubled rapper and father of her four children, Kanye West – captured the world’s attention, but Kim, 42, and Pete, 28, split last summer.
And while the pair seemed to have ended on good terms, our source now says that Kim has been contacting Pete – but he’s begging her to move on.
A source says, “Pete already had to change his number to start afresh after all the drama, which included calls from Kim and threats from [her ex-husband] Kanye West.
“Pete’s well and truly moved on since their romance, but Kim is craving closure. It’s the first time in her life a guy’s dumped her, and she’s been struggling to get her head around it. Kim thought the break-up was just a case of him being freaked out by her fame and that she’d be able to woo him back once the dust settled, but Pete is relieved to be living life away from all the drama.”
Kim and Pete’s break-up was blamed on demanding work schedules, but reports later alleged that he was “seeking help” for the online harassment he’d received from Kim’s ex, Kanye. He reportedly sought trauma therapy after the rapper’s threatening posts towards him on social media, which included angry rants and accusations that he was trying to “destroy” his family.
Kanye was even banned from Instagram for 24 hours, and when it emerged that Kim and Pete had split, he shared a sinister image of an altered New York Times newspaper, with a headline reading, “Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28”.
While Kim was said to be hugely supportive of Pete throughout the drama, he has tried to move on since their break-up. Not only is he said to be dating Bodies Bodies Bodies co-star Sui Wonders, but he has seemingly had tattoos that were dedicated to Kim removed. His inkings included the sentence “My girl is a lawyer” – referencing her legal studies – just above his collarbone, but it didn’t seem to be visible when he was snapped on a romantic beach trip earlier this year.
The source says, “Pete stayed in touch with Kim in the early days post-split, but it became tricky as she’d want to meet up and have some fun – which he really didn’t want to do! Eventually he had no choice but to cut her off, but it hasn’t stopped her hoping that a reunion might happen.”
The insider adds, “Pete’s friends think it’s kind of funny. How bad could it be having one of the hottest women on the planet pursuing you? But Pete isn’t short of options in the women department. He’s trying to live a much quieter life now, and he’s hoping Kim will soon move on.”
