Katie Price’s new surgery horror

Shocking images emerged last week showing Katie Price covered in bandages, with stitches on her face and struggling to open her eyes after a plastic surgery spree – admitting she thought she was going to die.

The former glamour model recently flew to Turkey with her fiancé Carl Woods, 31, to have operations on her eyes, chin and lips as well as lipo on her legs.

The 43 year old – real name Katie Price – said, “I’ve gone to hell and back, it was horrific – ‘Oh my God I look like a monster out of a horror movie’. I just thought, ‘This is it, I’m going to die.’ I’ve woken up with holes and stitches all over my body. I look like I’ve got cat whiskers coming out of my nose and eyes. But I just want the old Katie back!”

Now pals say her mum Amy, 66 – as well as her ex-husbands and the fathers of her children, Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler – are begging her to stop, after she insisted she will undergo more procedures in the future.

A source tells Closer, “Amy, Pete and Kieran are all concerned about Katie and her surgery obsession. It’s gone too far and they have begged her to seek help for her issues and addiction to surgery.

“Pete and Kieran have always maintained a good relationship and are in touch about the kids. They think she has a serious problem with surgery and they’re terrified of what could happen when she goes under the knife again.”

Jordan is believed to have spent over £500,000 on a number of surgical procedures including eight boob jobs, three face lifts, veneers, as well as regular Botox and filler top ups over the past two decades.

In 2019, she travelled to Turkey to have her second face and eye lift after admitting she found her looks “disgusting” and, in shocking footage from her reality show, was heard saying, “Tell my kids I love them” in case something happened to her on the operating table.

She also admitted her eldest children, Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, who she shares with Pete, were “scared when I removed the bandages”.

Carl– who Jordan is planning to start a family with via IVF – has previously told Closer that he preferred “natural” Katie over her alter-ego, saying, “If she was still ‘Jordan’, we would have clashed... I can’t stand the ‘Jordan’ thing.”

Shortly after the pair began dating last summer, Jordan jumped off a wall while on holiday and broke both her feet. She was told she may be wheelchair bound for two years. While she is walking again, last week she said she is unable to run – and that putting on weight after the accident is the reason she opted for surgery.

Now insiders reveal that Carl is worried about the unnecessary strain Jordan is putting on her body.

The source says, “Carl has repeatedly told Katie she’s perfect the way she is, but she won’t have it. She thinks she’s fat and hates the idea of ageing. She’s constantly looking up new surgeries and it worries Carl.

“He is especially worried about the toll it takes on her body when they’re trying for a baby and as she has only just healed from a traumatic injury. But at the same time, he wants to be supportive and show her he cares, which is why he accompanied her to Turkey rather than her go on her own.”

Meanwhile Pete, 48, and Kieran, 34 – dad to Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny – are said to be worried.

The source says, “Kieran and Pete worry about the kids seeing her like that – they want her to stop once and for all as they feel it’s not a good example to be setting the children.”

“They think she should be speaking to a professional to understand why she keeps doing it. It isn’t nice for the children and they’re concerned over how it could affect them.”

Showing off her new surgery on Good Morning Britain last week, Jordan denied having surgery addiction, but admitted her mum thinks she has body dysmorphia. She added, “Even my mum says it – ‘You need to see somebody, you’re not normal in the head, are you?’”

Amy has previously revealed how she begged surgeons to stop operating on her daughter, adding, “I’ve disagreed with every procedure she’s ever had. She doesn’t tell me now because she knows I’ll go ballistic.”

Amy, who Jordan has described as “her rock”, was diagnosed with a terminal lung illness in 2017. And the source says Jordan again kept this recent surgery a secret from her. The pal adds, “Katie told Amy she was just getting a correction treatment and a bit of lipo – she didn’t tell her the true extent of it. Amy was so upset. She is dealing with her own ill health and hates Katie putting herself through this for no reason.”

Now her nearest and dearest are hoping Jordan gets therapy to deal with her issues. The source adds, “She’s said she feels physically sick at the sight of a wrinkle. Everyone knows how unhealthy this is and thinks she needs to sort her issues through therapy before she risks her health even more.”

Psychotherapist Emma Kenny agrees that Jordan should be getting help to deal with her inner insecurities.

She says, “All this surgery is Katie desperately trying to fix the turmoil that’s on the inside. She’s desperate to be the Katie she was when she felt her best, when she was a sex symbol.

“But now as she’s getting older, it seems like she’s feeling more insecure. She needs therapy and needs to find a way of being comfortable in her own skin.”

Plastic surgeon: ‘She is clearly addicted’

Cosmetic surgeon Alex Karidis, agrees that Jordan should have therapy for her inner demons, and says surgeons also have a duty of care not to operate.

He says, “She’s clearly addicted – she has had three face lifts by the age of 43, which is not right. There comes a stage when you’re having this amount of surgery where you’ve got to step back and question why you’re doing it. She is being her own worst enemy. Nobody criticises Katie like she does herself. She’s in a spiral, because her face and her body are her life – she’s built her reputation around that.

“The more operations you have, ultimately the more stressful it can be for the body. As surgeons, we have the responsibility to be honest with patients and say whether the surgery is really worthwhile. I’d be very hesitant about recommending a number of the operations she’s had.”

He adds, “All that stress on the body doesn’t bode well for things like IVF because your body has to be strong and healthy to achieve the best. It’s under duress when operated on and it goes into overdrive, so it takes time to heal. Having IVF on top of that is a lot for the body to cope with. It’s not to say she can’t fall pregnant, but the best results for IVF are when you’re strong.”
