Celebrity Big Brother star Jeremy McConnell has revealed he wants a paternity test as soon as possible after his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis gave birth on Friday [January 13].
Since Steph announced she’s pregnant back in May Jez has continued to deny being the father of Steph’s baby and admitted he will take a DNA test after the baby is born.
Now the baby boy has been born, according to the Mirror, Jeremy is eager to take the test. A source told the publication: "Yes he is looking to arrange this ASAP, but this is time dependent on Steph."
Jeremy recently told the Sun Online that he tried to contact Steph a few weeks ago but didn’t hear anything back, however Steph’s rep denied Jez’s claims: "She [Steph] is happy, but disappointed and saddened that Jeremy would resort to the media to peddle lies."
The couple’s relationship has never been easy. The former Hollyoaks actress and the Irish model started seeing each other on Celebrity Big Brother even though Steph was dating Sam Reece (who was outside the house) at the time. The pair then embarked in one of CBB’s most public relationship which included plenty of tears, Twitter arguments, cheating rumours and ended with Steph claiming that she’s pregnant with Jeremy’s baby.
Steph has since moved on in her preparation for motherhood and insisted Jeremy wants nothing to do with the baby. Before Steph gave birth Jeremy took a "well deserved" holiday to Thailand and after the baby was born he tweeted if he is proven to be the father of the baby he will support the baby.
However fans have expressed their dismay including former Celebrity Big Brother star Perez Hilton who tweeted: "What you can??? To support him??? #Trash"
