She’s set to walk down the aisle with boyfriend Rami Hawash, but diva Gemma Collins won’t settle for anything less than the biggest wedding in showbiz history, and now pals say her glitzy onstage debut will pay for the lavish day.
Taking to Instagram last week to post a picture of her wearing black lace and flanked by two hunky male co-stars, Gemma revealed that, after weeks of speculation, she would be making her theatre debut in a touring production of Chicago in a matter of weeks.
The former TOWIE star announced, “It’s official! I’m gonna be joining @ chicagoonstage playing Matron ‘Mama’ Morton from Tues 31st May 2022! I’m so excited #allthatjazz #GCdoesChicago.” It’s the latest in a string of positive news for Gemma, 41, following her engagement to boyfriend, businessman Rami, 48, in December.
The couple had previously dated in 2011, but reunited following Gemma’s split from former co-star James “Arg” Argent at the start of 2021 after years of an on-off toxic romance. Now, a source tells Closer how it’s onwards and upwards for Gemma, and when it comes to planning her wedding day, the sky really is the limit now that her new work venture is bringing in “a big pay cheque”.

A source says, “It’s no secret Gemma wants the glitziest, most extravagant wedding possible and, as her demands have continued, she’s realised she needs to be pulling in some serious money to make that happen. Gemma loves to perform and feels this is one last big thing before her and Rami get married. He is fully supportive and will be going to watch her as much as he can.
“The big pay cheque was an added motivation and will help pay for the lavish wedding she’s planning. She’s hoping this could even lead to her bagging a starring role on Broadway in New York, and eventually her dream, which is to conquer Hollywood.”
