Coronation Street actor Mikey North has revealed that he is a first-time dad!
The actor, most well-known for playing Gary Windass on the ITV soap, revealed in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine that his wife, Racheal Isherwood, gave birth to their son Archie last November.
The couple, who got married in January 2016, managed to keep Archie's birth a secret after he was born on 10 November last year.
The couple were overjoyed at their new arrival, saying that "being parents is the best thing ever".
However, the birth didn't exactly go smoothly - Mikey described it as being "something like a chainsaw massacre".
Heck!
Rachael had an episiotomy (a cut in the vagina to aid tough births) - but unfortunately it went wrong and she ended up losing a hell of a lot of blood.
She said: "I had to have an episiotomy but unfortunately they cut through a vein and I lost one and a half litres of blood."
The poor woman was also put on a drip to help her contractions along, and says it was "was more painful than anything she'd ever experienced".
Mikey, who has played fitness expert Gary in Corrie since 2008, said: "She was throwing up with the pain. I had tears in my eyes just watching."
Thankfully, their bouncing baby boy was born healthy, weighing 8lb 5oz.
We're glad they're all ok now!
