Coronation Street has been responsible for many a weepy weekday evening thanks to some gripping and heart breaking storylines lately.

But it doesn’t look like life on the cobbles is set to get any easier for the Weatherfield residents.

And not just because Rosie Webster is back and ready to cause trouble!

Kym Marsh had us in tears thanks to her brave performance during Michelle Connor’s stillbirth storyline, and it received an abundance of praise as it resonated with so many viewers.

And the latest Corrie storyline hopes to do the same thing by shedding light on a topic less talked about in primetime soap shows.

Fans will watch as Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead Tinker on the show, will decide whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.

For the last few years, we’ve seen Sinead and boyfriend Chesney going through their ups and downs.

But when Sinead finds out she is expecting following a fling with Daniel Osbourne, we will see her decide whether or not to have an abortion.

Actress Katie was reportedly spotted filming outside an abortion clinic in scenes yet to air.

The actress told The Sun: “Sinead and Chesney have been together forever and she’s just grown up.

“They’ve been arguing. Daniel sees a quirky girl in Sinead and he calls her mysterious and exotic – the situation with Chesney kind of pushes them together.

“They first sleep together in the factory. Daniel needs somewhere quiet to stud and Sinead keeps doing overtime at the factory so she invites him to work there.”
