'I'm looking at my vision board and there's not one wedding veil on it'

Oh, we do love a reality TV star wedding and when it's a former TOWIE cast member you know it's going to be all kinds of stunning.

At the end of last year, Georgia Kousoulou finally tied the knot with long-term beau Tommy Mallet and although it seemed like a pretty low key affair she, of course, looked gorgeous.

Which had us wondering when the hell Ferne McCann and her fella Lorri Haines are going to make their romance official with the white dress and church and all that jazz, as is it just us or has that wedding has been in the works forever?

Well, according to Ferne, it's not happening anytime soon.

In a new interview, Ferne admitted, "I just feel like we’re going to be engaged for a really long time," before adding, "We’re committed to each other; I don’t feel like we need to be married right now."

Does that mean we should be returning the hat? Because we're concerned it'll no longer be in fashion by the year 2057.

"I’m looking at my vision board right now and there’s not one wedding veil in sight,” Ferne continued to OK!, “Maybe I need to put something on there so that we do get married eventually."

At least we know we haven't missed the big day as we do recall back in November 2022 we had a slight panic attack when we thought Ferne and Lorri had got hitched but it turned out that Ferne was a bridesmaid for a fellow TOWIE girlie, Danielle Armstrong.

It was the glorious pale dress and mirror selfie that threw us and all we saw in the caption was the word, "brides..." and somehow totally missed the, "...maid," which followed.

We'll admit, when it comes to stars like 32-year-old Ferne, we have a tendency to get overexcited and impulsive and thus, do things like forget to read Ferne's Insta posts.

Our bad.

But to be fair, just look at the images Ferne shared on Instagram. Who could blame us? These snaps were bridal mag worthy.

So yes, to confirm, Ferne and Lorri are not married and we look forward to receiving our reception invite in the near future.

And a huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Edney. Also, where was our reception invite? We're just looking for a little celebrity validation in our lives. Is that too much for an entertainment journalist to ask?

Ferne has had a rollercoaster love life since shooting to fame on TOWIE in 2013, but during our last interview, she assured us and herself that she had found ‘The One’ in Lorri. The pair have been dating since the start of the year and despite his drug scandal, she has her sights set on an exotic wedding abroad in the near future.

Ferne met the Dubai-based estate agent while on holiday there and their romance has gone from strength to strength ever since. They holidayed in the Maldives just weeks later and have been spending time with Ferne's daughter Sunday, four, and Lorri's son from a previous relationship.

But a year or so ago, Lorri, was embroiled in scandal when a video of him appearing to sniff white powder circulated on social media.

He’s since spoken out about the “destructive time” in his life, saying, "I want to start this by saying how sorry I am that my past actions are bringing pain to the people I love most in my life now. I have spent years turning my life around, to be someone I can be proud of... These things do not reflect the person I am today."

Ferne stood by her man amidst the controversy and when asked about future plans with Lorri, she told us she was keen for marriage.

"I would love to get married and I think about it all the time,” says Ferne. “I have never thought about marriage until now really because I have met someone now that I would genuinely marry."

So, would her dream wedding be a fairytale castle or an exotic trip abroad? Before their infamous feud, Ferne told Closer that she’d love to follow in the footsteps of former bestie Billie Shepherd - who had a lavish beachside Maldives wedding in 2019.

"I am a summer baby,” she says. “So my wedding would definitely be abroad, like Billie."

Ferne was a much-loved cast member of reality TV show TOWIE until her departure in 2016. But in 2017 her life took a difficult turn when her ex boyfriend Arthur Collins was arrested for an acid attack in an East London nightclub. She was pregnant with Sunday at the time, and Collins, 29, was later sentenced to 20 years behind bars.

"You find out you’re pregnant, you’re so excited — and then your whole life and world is turned upside down,” Ferne later said on her TV series, First Time Mum. “It was like absolute hell."

Since then, she has dated former Love Island contestant Jordan Hames, businessman Albie Gibbs and marketing manager Jack Padgett.

But now it seems the Essex native has found happiness at last, and she’d love to add to her brood before she marries.

Ferne said, “I haven’t thought too much about wedding plans. We made the decision that we would like to have another baby first. But, you know, life doesn't always pan out as you plan it. God, I know that! I'd love for Sunday to have a sibling, and extend and grow our family. I find it strange – I'm not that sort of person who is like, ‘I’m going to book a venue for two years’ time’. I just can’t get my head around that because I am not super organised. But then again, I love throwing a party. So maybe I need to view it as the ultimate party!”

Her latest comments come after she previously admitted, "I want to have more kids for sure! I've met someone that I can see my future with. I didn't get married the first time I had kids, so who knows [whether she would get married first]. I think it is whatever suits you and your circumstances. Things can change in a day and in five minutes, so I am going with the flow."

Ferne's TV show – which has followed her since her pregnancy - has been a huge hit and she said she is proud to be flying the flag for single mums. "I love filming for First Time Mum,” she said. “I started when I was pregnant, and I didn’t have the most conventional pregnancy. It had ups, downs and everything in between. I’ll continue to share my life for as long as people want to watch me."
