Jacqueline Jossa has revealed details of her dramatic return to Walford.

The actress, 23, who plays the troubled Lauren Branning, has been taking some time off following the birth of her daughter, Ella, with boyfriend Dan Osborne.

However, following the news that our favourite landlady, Peggy Mitchell is coming back to our screens, Jacqueline hinted that her return to Albert Square will leave the viewers “shocked”.

“It is a dramatic return,” she said to The Daily Star. “It’s not your average EastEnders thing where people are screaming and shouting but it will shock people.”

The last time we saw Lauren in Walford was in September when she briefly returned to give birth to her son. Soon after, she left for New Zealand with her boyfriend, Peter Beale, and baby Louie.

But things have been pretty disastrous for the Branning family. Her dad, Max, is currently in prison serving a sentence for the murder of Lucy Beale – even though he didn’t do it. Lauren knows he is innocent, but will she come back and help get him out of prison?

Lauren’s sister Abi has also been caught up in a pretty dramatic web. She lied to boyfriend Ben about being pregnant and then faked a miscarriage.

And there is also talk that she might fall back into the arms of Jay, who has his own dramas to deal with.

Will Lauren’s return help to fix her family’s problems? And now that actress Jacqueline is returning to the role after her maternity leave, just how long will she be back?

We’ll have to wait and see – but we’re very, very excited!
