A tearful Danniella Westbrook has spoken out about her fourth miscarriage following her split from fiancé Alan Thompson, insisting she’ll never have a baby again.
The actress told The Sun Online she was heartbroken at the situation and strongly denied she was taking drugs once more.
Former EastEnders star Danniella said the toll her miscarriages have taken on her body means it’s unable to cope with pregnancy anymore.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate has had a number of health issues after having a cesarean to give birth to daughter Jodie in 2001.
She said: “There was always a chance I was going to miscarry because since I’ve had lots of problems since my daughter was born by an emergency c-section.
“Something went wrong and four days later the whole inside of the stitches came open and my intestines pushed out and I was rushed into hospital.”
She explained that the stitches were replaced but she’s had trouble carrying every since and has had problems with periods with periods, phantom pregnancies and cysts on her ovaries.
Danniella suffered a miscarriage last year in the summer when she was with her ex George Arnold and compares her most recent one to then.
She said: “I got the the three month mark with that one and this time I got to seven weeks.
“So it’s been an awful time and it caused so much pressure for me and Alan really. We were already under pressure over getting a new place and it caused a lot of upset.
“I was so looking forward to having a baby, I’m 43, he’s 35, I thought ‘there’s no way I’m going to get pregnant again’.
“And I did and I was really happy about it.”
But she claims that due to her previous problems, this pregnancy was not possible, with doctors telling her, her womb was not strong enough.
The star suffered a lot of pain and lost a lot of blood and pulled out of an appearance on Loose Women on Friday due to blood loss, when she was due to talk about her miscarriage on the ITV show.
She added that she doesn’t think she’ll ever try for more children again, saying: “I don’t think I could take the heartbreak of it all.
“I can’t take it and I don’t think it’s good on my body. I don’t think I could try to have any more kids.”
Danniella and her ex Alan decided to take time apart after her miscarriage.
She explained: “Me and Alan are not together at the minute, we have had an argument, we’re having a tough time at the minute.
“He’s in Benidorm, I need some time to myself right now and he’s taking it very badly. I need to rest, I might go away for a couple of weeks and just relax and sleep and eat.
“At the moment I’m happy on my own. We rushed into everything too quick.”
