Deborah Meaden lived up her reputation as a no nonsense dragon this week, when she put Strictly’s It Take two host Rylan Clark-Neal in his place - with just one word.

Newly single Rylan has been very busy on his social media recently and it's exactly where Deborah threw some shade at him.

Already in the Christmas mood, he tweeted, “How early is too early to put the tree up?”

Deborah then responded by throwing almighty shade that even RuPaul herself would be proud of.

“Now,” she simply said.

And fans were loving Deborah’s playful dig, with one person writing, “Absolutely living for Rylan getting owned by Debbie Meads”.

Another commented “You tell him Deborah”.

Despite it being said in good fun... there’s no sign yet of any trees or decorations on Rylan’s Instagram.

This will be Rylan’s first Christmas since his separation from his husband Dan Neal who he has been with for six year. Rumours that the couple were having problems started when Rylan missed his Radio 2 show as well as his hosting duties for May’s Eurovision song Contest.

Rylan addressed the situation by confirming he was taking time away from work so they could "work through their problems".

He tweeted at the time, "Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out as the way it is being reported is unfair.

"I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage."

However shortly after, the couple confirmed they had officially split.

According to The Mail on Sunday the couple tried to work through their problems together at their Essex home, after Rylan had left to spend the summer with his mum.

"Things were looking so good, like they were back together," said one source. "They hoped they could avoid divorce, but it’s now looking like the only way forward.

"Many around them were desperately hoping they can win the battle to save their relationship. It’s very sad."

Dan and Rylan – who first found fame on The X Factor – first met in 2013 when Rylan interviewed the former policeman after he was evicted from the Big Brother house. The couple got engaged in Paris and then married in a lavish Essex ceremony in 2015, with Rylan becoming a step-dad to Dan’s son Cameron.

Dan and Rylan became the first ever gay couple to host This Morning in 2016 when they stood in for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

Despite his difficult year Rylan is already in the Christmas mood and after returning to his Radio 2 show, he told his listeners, “I am feeling better”.
