Everybody’s favourite domestic goddess (sorry, Nigella Lawson) admitted this week that she turned down the chance to compete in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Cleaning Influencer Sophie Hinchliffe revealed the news to Vicky Pattinson in her The Secret To podcast; admitting she 'just couldn't' take time away from her kids.

"I was meant to do Strictly Come Dancing this year, the one that's on now,” she said.

While we would have loved to have seen her in sequins, Mrs Hinch felt that she couldn’t spend those intense hours rehearsing her moves away from her beloved children.

"I just couldn't," she continued. "I'd just had Lennie as well. I just had my baby. That was the biggest reason because, apparently, it's so much behind the scenes; a lot of hours and you don't get this time back with your babies and your newborns.

Mrs Hinch shares two children with her husband Jamie; baby Lennie, who was born in May, and two-year-old son Ronnie.

“So, for me, it was more important to be at home with my baby. But, at the same time I was thinking – I'm really quite tall, so I thought to myself: 'There's not going to be someone that's tall enough to take me on there!'"

"I think, eventually...I've been so fortunate and I am so grateful for the TV opportunities I've been given but right now, in my heart, it's just not the right time.”

“Not the right time” makes us think that maybe next year we may see the queen of clean strutting her stuff.

So to help Mrs Hinch (who is reportedley 5'10") make the decision to take part, we’ve found dancers that would be more than tall enough to help her raise that glitter ball.

Taking Instagram by storm, Mrs Hinch first started her account just to show followers her and Jamie renovating their home, now the influencer has over four million followers.

Offering tips and cleaning advice, she's gone on to have bestselling books, a This Morning segment and even clothing and home ranges.

Vicky asked why, when she’s so popular, Mrs Hinch hasn’t yet had her own TV show.

"I think what it is it's the whole talking to a camera, I can't explain it,” she replied. Having suffered with anxiety in the past, she finds filming herself a lot less stressful.

“With my Instagram, my content, it's just my hand, really”.

But that’s not to say Strictly is the only show Mrs Hinch would consider.

“I'd love to do the jungle one day," she said.

"But I've got a huge fear of spiders so I'd probably pass out and faint but [myself], the boys and Jamie...we've watched it our whole lives."

That would be the cleanest camp ever.
