If there's one thing we love more than a Love Island romance, it's a Love Island feud, and the 2022 series of the hit ITV2 reality show delivered as per, releasing a handful of frustrated feuding Islanders – Islanders such as Dami Hope and Summer Botwe – back into the wild in early August with unresolved beef ready and rearing to be seared in the near future. And flipped by us.

Actually, there is one thing we love even more, and that's an awkward Love Island reunion mid-feud in the outside world surrounded by smartphones – and that's exactly what occurred this week thanks to those crafty little PLT PRs.

Naturally, we've been sucking up every drop of spilled tea we can find since the iconic head-to-head in question and that headline's not kidding, we are dead.

PrettyLittleThing (PLT) recently invited former London-based Islanders/brand ambassadors Dami, Summer, Indiyah Polack, Chyna Mills, Deji Adeniyi, Danica Taylor (Gemma Owen too, but she didn't travel en masse because Gemma Owen) to Dublin for what we would call a press trip, but we're guessing if you're a celeb you just call a free mini-break.

The Islanders were all invited to PLT's Christmas party in Dublin, bringing many of these faces together for the first time since exiting the villa.

As such, finalist Dami and former bombshell Summer – who were together for a brief time in the villa before Dami had his head re-turned by now girlfriend Indiyah – travelled to the town of the hurdled ford (we Googled that and are feeling pretty confident about Trivial Pursuit this Christmas) together and attended the same party together.

But is he ready for Summer?

From the looks of the Islanders' Instagram Stories most of Dami's and Summer's baggage was safely checked in upon arrival – for none of us to see (snore). But after how it went down in the final weeks of Love Island 2022, it's safe to assume that this pair aren't all suddenly hugs and kisses now.

Also, the various Instagram Stories show that despite travelling together and attending the same party, the former flames are not pictured or filmed together once, dispite being tagged in the same Story posts.

Summer was, of course, brought in to Love Island 2022 to turn heads as a Casa Amor bombshell for the 2022 series, and she succeeded after turning our Dami's noggin' (full Exorcist twist kind of turn) and bagging herself a one-way ticket to the main villa. Go on girl. The move, naturally, rocked the early days of Dami and Indiyah, but eventually the pair found their way back to one another. Leaving Summer a single pringle.

Things then got a tad awkward for Dami when Summer and Indiyah became gal pals, and to this day, are still friends. After being pied by Dami, Summer naturally didn't feel like getting chummy with him, too. Fair.

So, of course, when we had Dami and Indiyah right in front of us for a recent episode of Love Island Secrets (back when the sun was shining) we had to stir the pot.

Knowing the answer, we asked them who they would and wouldn't be keeping in touch with now the show is over and, naturally, the topic of Summer popped up. Indiyah made it clear that her and Summer "get along very well" and that they are "really good friends" who will probably see each other in the future.

Then, Andrew Le Page took the wooden spoon from us to stir with slightly more aggression, jokingly asking Dami, "Dami, you're best friends with Summer, aren't you?"

Here we go. Forget secrets - this is piping hot tea.

Dami responded by saying, "There's no beef with Summer. Obviously, I don't think we're going to be meeting up anytime to do anything, but..."

To which Indiyah awkwardly responded, "Yeah, probably not."

Our eyes were dry from not blinking by this point.

Dami continued, "I hope she's good and stuff, but... yeah, it is what it is."

In response to Indiyah saying she would probably be seeing Summer in the near future, Dami said (with a deer-in-headlights kind of look on him), "I was never planning on seeing her again. Anyways..."

Apparently Dami thought summer was over – especially now it's Christmas. Guess not.
