Daisy Lowe has defended her friendship with Strictly Come Dancing pal Louise Redknapp after her split from Jamie

As soon as Louise Redknapp's split from Jamie came out, fingers immediately started pointing at Louise's new friend Daisy Lowe.

The pair met whilst participating in last year's Strictly Come Dancing, and a close friendship blossomed between the two.

But it wasn't long before the blame was placed at Daisy's door, with people saying that she'd encouraged Louise to be a bit wild.

Even Louise's parents-in-law, Harry and Sandra Redknapp, blamed Louise's "new group of friends" on what they called her "mid-life crisis".

However, Daisy has now hit out at the criticism in a couple of tweets.

According to The Sun, Daisy wrote in a post online: "The best kind of friendships are fierce lady friendships where you aggressively believe in each other, defend each other and think the other deserves the world."

She also retweeted a post which read: "Surround yourself by good people, and watch the good come out in you."

But after Louise was spotted wearing her wedding ring on a night out earlier this week, some have speculated that she and Jamie could be working on their marriage.

After the split was announced, a source told MailOnline: "It's like Louise is rebelling against all the rules. With Jamie, her life had to revolve around his football schedule and it was always about him.

"Now it's like she thrown away the rule book, she can do what she wants! She loves her new life.

"Daisy is a lot younger and has no family responsibilities to think about. In Daisy, Louise seems to have found a new fun and carefree attitude."

But Closer Magazine recently spoke to Daisy's family friend Samantha Brick, who has known Daisy since she was 12 and worked with her mother Pearl.

She defended Daisy, and said: "I'm confident Daisy will support Louise - she won't be encouraging her to abandon her family. She's seen the ugly side of what happens when high-profile relationships implode and she'll be offering very wise counsel.

"Daisy won't lead Louise astray - rather, she'll be her rock and a much-needed conservative voice in her ear."

Well, we don't think there's anything wrong with having a good friend to lean on in dark times!
