Subha Nagalakshmi Munchetty-Chendriah, known by her professional moniker Naga Munchetty, is an esteemed journalist and regular presenter on BBC Morning Breakfast.

Does Naga Munchetty have children?

Successful news anchor Naga doesn’t have children with her husband James Haggar, but the couple are pawrents to three adorable cats called Missy, Xena and Bella.

They've also got a full social life full of dinners with friends, parties, and lots and lots of golf, and Naga is a keen runner, too.

Who is Naga Munchetty’s husband?

Naga married TV director and broadcast consultant James and the couple appear to have a very happy marriage.

"James and I don't row, and he's a lovely, lovely man, he's definitely the better half,” she said on her podcast, Her Spirit. “When James and I got married almost 12 years ago, one of his aunts said to us: the best bit of advice I can give you is to simply be kind to one another. She was right."

Relationship #goals.

What has Naga said about having kids?

Understandably, Naga’s not always been patient with people asking her when she will have children.

“I remember when I told someone that I had decided I didn't want children, someone told me I was wicked,” she said last year on BBC Radio 5. “Wicked against my mother for denying her grandchildren. It's quite interesting, isn't it, how people react?

"I'm past the age now where people expect me to have children. But people can be quite forthright: 'Oh, you can't have them?'

"I think people find it unusual that both in the relationship have agreed or decided or come to the conclusion that they don't want children."

We say, good for them!

What has Naga Munchetty said about her own childhood?

"I think that moulded a lot of my early years – we were talking earlier about whether or not people liked me,” she said recently on her podcast.

"We'd come home [from school], and we'd have tea – egg and chips, something like that – and then at 9pm we'd have an Indian dinner.

"Mum would come back from work and go straight into the kitchen, and she'd be obsessed about keeping the back door open. She would make us change out of our uniforms – she did not want us to be those Asian kids who smelled of curry."
