Amanda Holden's plunging dress on Britain's Got Talent is now officially the most complained about thing on television for 2017.
If there's one thing more offensive than swearing on live TV, it's Amanda Holden's low-cut dress – according to British TV audiences.
The controversial £11,250 Julien Macdonald gown has received a whopping 663 complaints via Ofcom - more than twice the amount that Russell Brand's swearing and sexual references received on Comic Relief, which received 340 complaints.
To add more context, Corrie's distressing scene in which poor 17-year-old Bethany Platt was gang-raped by three men received just 13 complaints.
Whilst Amanda's clothing choices do normally garner a lot of attention, even we're a bit shocked that it has received that many complaints.
Even Ant and David Walliams couldn't help but make a comment on it.
Ant said: "Look at what Amanda's wearing... what Amanda isn't wearing!" and fellow-judge Walliams made a dig at her when commenting on a female choir: "You're really classy, none of you are wearing a really inappropriate low-cut top!"
Whilst we do condemn the CONSTANT judgement on women's appearances and clothes - and nasty comments on them - we can see how Amanda's dress has caused such a stir and may have been a little controversial for a family TV entertainment programme.
Fans took to Twitter and Amanda's Instagram page to air their views on the dress: "I feel like there is a time and a place for everything and that dress was in the wrong place yesterday. Seemed a bit desperate to be honest."
Another wrote: "Maybe keep it for your husband... Every night this week I have thought why do you need to show soooo much of your body off? Much more classy to show less, your body looks good but there's a time and a place for you to show it off."
