With her hilarious one-liners and infectious laugh, Alison Hammond has won the hearts of the nation – so it’s no wonder that she’s off the market. The This Morning presenter is happily loved-up with her new boyfriend – even saying in November that she’s finally found someone who “worships her.”

And now insiders say that after a cosy Christmas together, Alison is more excited than ever before about the prospect of heading down the aisle in 2023. The insider says, “Alison is head over heels in love and is hoping he proposes in the not- too-distant future. Marriage
is something they’ve been speaking about for the last few months and is definitely on
the cards, so naturally Alison has already been getting herself into wedding mode and planning her dream wedding. She’s the happiest she’s been in a long time!”

The 47-year-old first rose to fame after appearing on Big Brother in 2002 – and although she was the second star to be evicted, it set her on a path to becoming one of the nation’s most-loved presenters. After landing a gig on This Morning interviewing celebs, Alison worked her way up to stardom – now presenting the hit ITV show alongside Dermot O’Leary, 49.

But while she might be happy with her mystery man – with Closer previously reporting
that the star was “torn” over whether to take her new romance public – Alison hasn’t always been so lucky in love. The star was previously married to cab driver Noureddine Boufaid – with whom she shares 17-year-old son Aiden – before splitting in 2014. And her new romance marks her first serious relationship in five years, following her split from ex-fiancé Jamie Savage back in2017 – after Alison met the security guard online. Following her split from Jamie, the presenter enjoyed a stint on Celebs Go Dating – where she struck up a romance with audio technician Ben Fusi, before their relationship fizzled out.

But everything changed when she revealed she was dating her new mystery beau – after Dermot accidentally revealed on air that Alison was off the market. Gushing about her new man, Alison shared “He makes my heart sing and I feel content, he enriches my life in ways that I can’t explain.”

Despite finally finding happiness in her love life, Alison has gone through some tough personal heartache – including losing both her parents within months of each other in 2020.

And now our insider says Alison’s happiness is something she wasn’t sure she would ever find. They say, “Alison’s had anextremely tough couple of years and there were points she never dreamed of being this happy again. After losing her parents, she’s definitely got more of a ‘life’s too short’ attitude. So she’s really keen to tie the knot this year and celebrate with her favourite people in the world.

“They’ve both been married before, so she doesn’t want another big traditional white wedding, but she definitely wants a big party and has spoken about doing it at home in her newly-renovated mansion – joking she needs to get her money’s worth and make the most of it! She’d love a summer wedding in her garden – decking it with candles and fairy lights – and then having a big party going on into the early hours.”

And Alison – who has wowed fans with her impressive weight loss recently – would also
use her big day to remember her loved ones – with the source sharing, “She’d want to pay tribute to her beloved mum and ensure that her memory lives on in whatever celebration they have, such as including all the Jamaican dishes her mum would make in the wedding menu and attaching a photo to her wedding bouquet.”

Having interviewed the likes of The Rock, Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford during her time on This Morning, Alison has some A-list friends, but she also counts some of the UK’s most-loved TV stars as her best pals – including her co-stars Josie Gibson, 37, and Holly Willoughby, 41.

Talking about her wedding plans, the insider shares, “Alison would have her son, Aiden, give her away when she walks down the aisle, and will have Josie as her maid of honour– as well as all her celeb mates there, including Dermot, Holly, Kate Lawler and Rylan Clark.

“Alison is in a place where she finally feels blissfully in love with her man, and is confident that it won’t be long before she has a ring on her finger. It also really helps that Aiden really likes him, which is a huge deal for her, and their relationship has sealed that he is The One.”
