Parents are in uproar after a photo of baby bibs in TK Maxx which some are calling sexist was uploaded to social media.

It seems as though there's ALWAYS something to be offended by these days, and some people can take it a bit overboard.

HOWEVER. Photos of baby bibs which were spotted in national clothing shop TK Maxx have gone viral for being sexist - and parents are up in arms about it.

The photos, which were uploaded to Facebook group Let Clothes Be Clothes, show two baby bibs side by side.

In the first, the "boys" bib reads: "Smarty pants" with an image of some glasses, whilst the "girl" bibs read: "I woke up this cute."

In the second image, the boy bib read: "Boy genius," whilst its female counterpart read: "Ready for my #selfie."

The problems that parents are having is that clothes like these are perpetuating the stereotype that girl children should only focus on looking pretty, rather than being smart.

One angered parent wrote: "Who is making these ghastly items - do they want girls to grow up as self-obsessed idiots easy for violent men to control?"

Another commented: "Jeez. Words actually fail me," whilst one other wrote: "Ridiculous! Even before they can see properly these messages are there."

But many others hit back at the parents who were unhappy with the bibs.

One wrote: "It’s TK Maxx, what were you expecting?" whilst another added: "I don't see the problem with these. Are the kids not allowed to wear fun things anymore?"

Another person commented: "All looks ok here. Nothing to report."
