The 55-year-old suffers from a rare medical condition that means she’s sleepwalked over 500 times in the last two years – with no recollection of her actions the next morning.

Housewife Gill, who lives in Cheshire with husband Mark, 55, and has two children, Naomi, 34, and Francis, 32, says: “During the night I change into a completely different person.

"I’ve cooked eggs and bacon in my sleep, eaten a packet of biscuits in bed, and bizarrely even created art out of food.

"I’ve even driven the car twice, which is terrifying. I always wake up in bed with no idea of what’s happened.

“Mark and I make a joke of it, but I’ve often been scared to go to bed – Mark padlocks the front door at night now.

"Mark has had to lock himself in the bedroom just in case, and I’ve been known to wrestle with him in a bid to leave the house, or stab all the kitchen knives into the breadboard in an angry rage.

"Thankfully, I’m taking strong medication to help and I only sleepwalk around three times a month.”
