The 36-year-old singer tore into the politician over his party’s plans to impose a tax on homes worth more than £2 million, calling the idea ‘disturbing.’

‘For me, it’s so disturbing - the name in its own right: ‘mansion tax.’ Immediately you conjure up an image of these Barbie-esque houses, but in London, which is where 80 per cent of the people who will be paying this tax actually live, have you seen what that amount of money can get you? It’s like a garage.’

Myleene, who is a millionaire herself, argued that most people who will suffer from the tax will not be extremely rich individuals.

‘A lot of them are grannies who have had these houses in their families for a long, long time.’

Klass continued to make her case for blocking the tax, saying that those who are truly rich won’t suffer because of ‘tax rebates and amazing accountants.’

Instead, the mum-of-two said she people who will suffer are people who’ve inherited their large houses.

Twitter users shared their disbelief that Klass appeared to be ‘wiping the floor’ with the Labour leader last night, saying Ed could be making his case ‘so much better.’
