To say periods are less-than-fun is the understatement of the century.
During that time of the month, we’re left with horrible stomach cramps, headaches, nausea and an insatiable appetite for chocolate.
But despite all of the period pains, for centuries women have dealt with it when mother nature comes knocking.
However, one doctor has created his own ‘solution’ to your menstrual cycle, and we’re absolutely gobsmacked.
An American chiropractor in the US has developed ‘labia lipstick’. It’s designed to act like a lipstick for – yes, you guessed it! – your labia, and works by essentially gluing it shut during your period. This is supposed to hold in the menstrual blood until you need to go to the bathroom.
When you then go for a wee, the urine disintegrates the glue.
We kid you not – this is a real product.
It garnered attention on Facebook when a post on Facebook declared the new product as “clean, safe, and secure.”
"Have you ever woken up with your lips stuck together?" the ad asks.
"It didn’t hurt and it was kind of fun. All you had to do was wet your lips from the inside with saliva and they became unstuck. Mensez feminine lipstick is a natural patented compound of amino acids and oil in a lipstick applicator that is applied to the lips down under during the period."
It continues: "Urine instantly unsticks the labia and allows everything to wash out into the toilet, [then you] wipe and reapply Mensez lipstick. Clean, safe, secure, and done. Coming to a store near you soon."
