Child killer Jon Venables has apparently been attacked in prison after inmates discovered his secret identity
James Bulger killer Jon Venables was sentenced to 40 months in prison recently after police found nearly 1,200 images of child abuse in his possession as well as a sickening paedophile manual on how to have sex with children "safely."
Despite being given a new identity after he was released from prison in 2001 for the murder of toddler James Bulger when he was just 10-years-old 25 years ago, inmates at the same prison as him have apparently uncovered his real identity.
According to the Daily Star, Venables and his fellow prisoner had a "falling out" after the prisoner "went for him" with a pot of boiling water.
They also reported that prison officers got involved to "de-escalate the situation," but added that Venables had complained the officers took so long to get involved in the first place and that they "didn't do enough" to protect him.
However, a source told the publication that this was likely to keep re-occurring, saying: "They'll end up getting him. It’s just a waste of taxpayers’ money."
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Justice told the publication that "incidents happen all the time in prison," and declined to comment further on this particular case.
Back in December last year, a source told The Sun that Venables' new identity was discovered after prison wardens were overheard candidly discussing the killer.
The source said: "The screws (prison wardens) were talking about it because they don’t care who knows.
"There’s a price on his head and most of the jail would like to have a pop at him, but no-one will be able to get to him."
