Research has found that a third of Brits are too scared to check their bank balance before they embark on their Christmas shopping trip.
The study, commissioned by Asda Money, found that of the 2,000 adults they spoke to, a third of them shopped "blind" - meaning that they don't check their bank balance whilst doing their Christmas shopping.
They won't check their bank balance before, during or after their Christmas shopping stint, both in-store and when online shopping.

Apparently, 27% of people said that having enough money for Christmas shopping is one of their biggest worries as Christmas Day edges ever nearer.

A quarter of very organised people begin their Christmas shopping six to eight weeks before the big day, which seems like a sensible time - right?
But 29% of last-minute people are trying to squeeze all their gift-buying into the last week before Christmas - with some people doing their big shops right now!
Of those rushed individuals, 45% confessed that they simply did not have enough time to get it done before now.
