For image-conscious Hannah Norman, nothing is more important than having bronzed skin. The 19-year-old spends a whopping £1k a month on sun beds and visits up to four different salons a day to get her 40-minute fix.

Shockingly, despite the fact the average sunbed user between the ages of 20 and 35 is 90 per cent more likely to develop skin cancer by their 50s, she insists she isn't deterred.

Single Hannah says: "I've been using sun beds for four years and never had any health scares. I don't worry about getting skin cancer- it would have happened by now.

"Even if I do get skin cancer, it's treatable."
