Vela told the man that he could ‘choose his life or his penis,’ at which point the accused teenager allowed the mother to slice his penis with a box cutter.
The accused denies he touched her child in an inappropriate manner.
Despite the severity of her crime, Bonita will not serve any jail time for her act, and will instead be placed under 10 months of home detention.
The condition of the injured 18-year-old remains unknown.
