When Life on Marbs star Danni Levy decided to have her breasts enlarged aged 20, she thought it would give her a much-needed confidence boost. But instead, it was the beginning of a string of botched surgeries that left her so depressed she even contemplated taking her own life.

Personal trainer Danni, now 31, went from a 32B to a 32D, but she was horrified to discover she'd been given potentially fatal PIP implants. She went through three further ops - costing over £10k- in a bid to get the figure she'd always dreamed of, but the pretty brunette has been left with wonky breasts, unsightly scarring and debilitating depression.

She explains: "I was young and naive when I had surgery- I saw a boob job as the answer to my confidence issues, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I'm so self-conscious of my chest now it's led to the breakdown of a relationship and I'm scared to date men. I was so low I had to have counselling and my botched boobs have contributed to me feeling suicidal.

"Women need to think carefully about having surgery and psychological assessments should be made compulsory."

Worryingly, Danni is far from alone. According to a recent report, women who undergo plastic surgery have a much higher risk of taking their own lives, with the suicide rate up to three times higher in women who have breast implants.
