77-year-old Pat Leitner from Michigan could have had a nice relaxing birthday celebration, filling up on birthday cake and enjoying a lovely Sunday roast with her family…

But grandmother Pat decided to mark her birthday in far more outrageous fashion.

Before celebrating her birthday with friends eating cake and ice-cream, Pat chose to tick something off of everyone’s ultimate bucket list and go skydiving!

She told local news: ‘You tell me I can’t do something and I’ll find a way to do it. I’m not afraid to try; I think that’s always been my motto.’

Pat raised three children alone after divorcing in the 1960s, but she doesn’t let life’s hardships get her down.

We can all learn something from Pat’s amazing ‘can do’ attitude- what an inspiring woman!
