Money started flooding in from animal lovers after reports that 60 dogs were killed following an arson attack at Manchester Dogs Home, one of the biggest animal shelters in the country.

The hashtag #ManchesterDogsHome was trending on Twitter as more people garnered support for the 150 surviving dogs.
Members of the public rushed to the site of the burning dogs home after learning about the shocking attack, with many families offering to take in abandoned pets in their hour of need.
Celebrities such as TOWIE’s Maria Fowler and TV presenter Phillip Schofield have also urged the public to donate to the Manchester Dogs Home.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested, questioned and released on bail following the tragedy.
Lisa Graham, a volunteer at the kennels, told the Mail Online: “To think that for the length of time we've served this community and the many generations we've been serving this community and that one of them would come and do this to us is sickening.”
“We had staff here last night that were coming out of the kennels in tears with dogs they knew. There were dogs in there that they cared for that they lost.”
According to reports, dog-lover Simon Cowell has offered to pay for all-inclusive holidays for the firefighters who saved 150 dogs from the burning building.
