Kevin Clifton's ex wife Karen drops marital name following romance rumours
Kevin's ex wife and Strictly Come Dancing co-star, Karen is allegedly dropping her marital surname following Kevin's romance with Stacey Dooley.
The professional dancer will be returning to her maiden name, Karen Hauer for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Tensions between the divorced pair reached an all-time high after Kevin denied having feelings for TV host Stacey, who he won the show with in December last year, a source told The Sun.
“Karen confronted Kevin about his relationship with Stacey at the end of the last series but he was adamant it was purely platonic.
“Kevin and Stacey insist they only started dating officially this month but Karen is still annoyed he wasn’t more honest about the situation." A TV Insider revealed to The Sun.
“She had been considering changing her name for a while but this has cemented her decision.
“This is Kevin’s business but she no longer wants to be linked to him. When the next series of Strictly starts she’ll be known as Karen Hauer."

Stacey and Kevin are allegedly dating following her split from long-term partner, Sam Tucknott last month.
Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley is said to be dating dance partner Kevin Clifton after her ex-boyfriend of five years Sam Tucknott found ‘secret texts’ from Kevin declaring his love on Stacey’s phone.
Stacey was partnered with professional dancer Kevin, who split from wife Karen last year, on the last series of Strictly and they eventually went on to win the show but their close bond reportedly left boyfriend Sam ‘paranoid’.
Karen's representatives have been contacted for comment.
