Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton’s love life has been hitting the headlines lately due to his rumoured romance with Stacey Dooley after her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claimed they were dating.
Now his ex-wife Clare Craze - who was married to the dancer between 2007 and 2010 - has opened up about their relationship, revealing that she took an overdose when he ended their marriage.
Speaking about the end of their marriage, Clare told The Sun: “I spent the week begging him to meet up as I thought I could convince him to stay. I was shaking, in tears, and he got up and left.
During that week I didn’t eat or sleep. My mother was so worried about me she took me to the doctor. It felt like all hope from my life had gone — it was overwhelming.”
Recalling her overdose, she said: “Afterwards, I went to a bar and took a load of anxiety pills with another large glass of wine.
“My memory gets hazy then but my father told me afterwards I was found near Waterloo Bridge by passers-by who called an ambulance. I woke up in hospital on a drip.”

"Kevin is like a chameleon, he works out what you want and then he becomes it. Plus, he's extremely talented, which is very attractive. Coupled with him presenting himself as a nice guy, it is a powerful combination,” Clare said.
"Kevin is a social climber and fame hungry. He loved the dancing but he also wanted the glamour of red carpets and seeing his name in lights. He dropped me as soon as it suited him."
Clare was Kevin’s second wife and claims that he never told her about his first marriage.

Although they have neither confirmed nor denied it, Kevin is thought to be dating Stacey Dooley after they won the latest series of Strictly together.
After Kevin was branded a ‘slippery, slimy snake’ by her ex Sam, Stacey broke her silence to release a statement on Twitter.
She wrote: "Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story.
"I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here.
"Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward."
