We are sad to report that Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana have lost their unborn baby.
The 49-year-old chef took to Facebook to release an official statement about the miscarriage, thanking fans for their support during what is understandably a difficult time.
Gordon wrote: “Hi guys, Tana and I want to thank you so much for your support over the past couple of weeks.
“We had a devastating weekend as Tana has sadly miscarried our son at five months.
“We're together healing as a family, but we want to thank everyone again for all your amazing support and well wishes.”
He added emotionally: “I’d especially like to send a big thank you to the amazing team at Portland Hospital for everything they’ve done. Gx”
Gordon and Tana have three daughters Megan, 17, Holly, 16, and Matilda, 14, and son Jack, 16.
Gordon had announced that the couple were pregnant with their fifth baby via James Corden’s TV show in May.
At the time, he explained: “We have three girls and a boy ... and one more on the way,” to which the audience broke into applause, before fellow dad James hugged him in celebration.
Our hearts go out to Gordon and Tana Ramsay at this tragic time.
