A trip to Santa's grotto's meant to be a magical moment. Sadly these children clearly didn't get the memo...
One of the joys of Christmas is a trip to visit Santa... or at least it's meant to be.
However as these hilarious pictures show, some children don't enjoy this festive experience as much are their parents might hope.
And while pictures of children crying shouldn't be funny, it's pretty hard not to be a little tickled by this lot...
Children crying with Santa STACKED
1) This little girl who's as red as Santa's suit
2) This pair who are both naughty and nice
3) This howler and a Santa who clearly sees the funny side
4) This little chap who clearly didn't read the sign!
5) This boy with a Santa who's clearly had enough
6) This poor Santa who's dealing with double trouble!
7) This little lady who's ready to make a break for it
8) This cheeky chappy who's just about holding it together
9) This little girl who looks like a handful
10) And this one who's beyond the point of no return
11) This lad who looks ready for a fight
12) This sweetie who just wants his mummy
13) And finally this little boy, who has prior form
These brilliant images were all shared on social media by parents using the hashtag #SantaFail and some mums also included the back stories.
Take for instance the little chap in picture number 8. Samuel Spencer, who was one when the picture was taken (he's now 13), is deaf, and his mum has revealed that he's actually attempting to make the American Sign Language sign for 'help' in this image.
Bless him!
Meanwhile the confused dad of Niko Argiropoulos (the little boy pictured crying on Santa's knee three times in a row!) commented: "Niko loves Santa from afar and he especially loves his Elf on the Shelf, Lollie."
Go figure!
And it turns out celebrity children aren't immune to this Santa fear.
Last year, Chrissy Teigan shared this cute snap (above) or her and John Legend's daughter Luna bawling on Santa's knee.
And Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's son Saint also seemed to find his trip to Santa's grotto a little traumatic.
