WATCH ON TV: THE EASTENDERS HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

Judging by the terrifying trailer, this year’s ‘fright night’ episode of EastEnders looks like it’s absolutely unmissable.

And, inspired by all of our favourite horror films, we have a feeling that its going to have even the bravest of soap fans hiding behind the sofa!

What is the chilling connection between 007 and the enemy?

We doubt you’ll be able to guess before the big reveal at the end…

Find a screening of Spectre at an Empire cinema near you now.

VISIT: AN APPLE PICKING FESTIVAL

Autumn is the time when orchards across the land are a hive of activity as the apple harvest gets underway. And, each year, the National Trust celebrates their orchards with apple days and festivals at many places they look after.

It’s a great day out for the whole family and kids can tick off one of our 50 Things to do before you’re 11¾ activities ‘eat an apple straight from a tree’.

Visit their website now to find a beautifully autumnal apple event near you.

TRY: A HALLOWEEN MANICURE

SEE: ALL THE COLOURS OF AUTUMN

If you fancy doing something a little different this weekend, why not head out on one of the National Trust’s extra-special autumn colour walks?

They explain: “It’s not just the golden shades of the leaves that capture our attention in autumn, the landscapes we look after turn a rainbow of different colours which are a feast for the senses.

“Going for a walk among the amazing array of hues can even help us feel happier, healthier and calmer.”

Find a walk to lift your spirits on their website.

PLAY: OUR HALLOWEEN DRINKING GAME

If you fancy having a horror movie marathon this Halloween, why not spice things up with our fun drinking game?

Choose your poison (not literally, guys - stick to plain old-fashioned liquor, yeah?), grab a stack of DVDs and settle back with our list of fun drinking rules; it’s time to get properly sozzled.

VISIT: THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ON OXFORD STREET, LONDON

It’s definitely worth a trip to London this Sunday - they’re only turning on the Christmas lights!

Yup, that’s right; it’s already THAT time of year - and, this time around, the Oxford Street Christmas lights switch-on will see Kylie Minogue doing the honours.

There will also be plenty of live musical performances, special offers in all the shops (perfect for a bit of early Christmas shopping), and celebrity presenters.

Best of all? It’s FREE to attend. Winner.

Head to Oxford Circus on Sunday 1 November from 2pm - 6.30pm to become a part of the magic.
