Here's all the opening and closing times for Supermarkets in the UK this Christmas

Christmas Day is almost upon us, so to make sure you don't miss buying that last minute bottle of wine or mince pies, we've gathered together the opening and closing hours of some of the main supermarkets.

Aldi's Christmas opening and closing hours

In the run-up to Christmas Eve, they are open as usual from 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday.

Christmas Eve - 10am-4pm

Christmas Day - CLOSED

Boxing Day - CLOSED

27th - 30th December - 8am-10pm

New Year’s Eve - 10am-4pm

New Year’s Day - CLOSED

2nd Jan - 8am-10pm

30 minutes’ browsing time prior to opening will be applied across stores in England and Wales.

ASDA's Christmas opening and closing hours

Opening times differ according to location, however as a rule the following opening hours will apply.

Christmas Eve - Normal Sunday trading hours

Christmas Day - CLOSED

Boxing Day - Majority will be open from 9am-6pm

New Year’s Eve - Normal Sunday trading hours

New Year’s Day - 10am-6pm

Boxing Day - All closed in England (Scotland are open)

Sainsbury's Christmas opening and closing hours

Christmas Eve – Normal Sunday trading hours. All of their supermarkets and convenience stores are open, with the exception of eight convenience stores in Central London.

Christmas Day – CLOSED with the exception of one petrol station: Charlton Riverside.

Boxing Day – The majority of their stores are open.

Tesco's Christmas opening and closing hours

Tesco will remain open throughout the Christmas period, only closing on Christmas Day. Tesco Express stores will be generally be open until 10pm, and larger Tesco stores will be open similar to their usual Sunday trading hours.
