After it was announced that Dermot O’Leary will be replacing Olly Murs and Caroline Flack after just one year away from the competition show, it seems The X Factor bosses hasvelistened to its fans about room auditions too.

ITV announced the change on their website saying: “Another favourite making a comeback for this year’s series are the intimate room auditions where aspiring stars will find themselves face to face in front of the judges in a very personal setting.”

In recent years, hopefuls have sung their hearts out to an arena full of people – but the next series of the ITV competition will bring back the intimate setting of just the contestants facing the judges, alone.

The same rules of three judges giving a ‘yes’ will still apply, but this means that instead of hearing the crowd’s reaction, the singer will only have to face the judges.

For most fans, the room auditions were one of the most entertaining parts of the show, and many have taken to Twitter to announce their excitement.

And who could forget this moment?

Quite possibly one of the best X Factor moments!
