Danielle Armstrong’s departure from The Only Way Is Essex has left some fans seriously unimpressed.
The reality star was a member of the ITVBe show’s cast for three years and left the series so she could spend some time away from her ex-boyfriend James Lock, who also appears on the programme.
Danielle left the show after having an argument with James at co-star Megan McKenna’s Christmas party.
Revealing her departure before the episode aired, she said in a video on the ITV website: “I said goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex, it is really sad, I feel really emotional today.
“I just want everyone to know that this is something I have been thinking about for the last month, six weeks, and I feel like all the viewers that love the show have seen me and James and our whole mental relationship.
“Go from the makeups, the breakups, the tears, the dramas, everything.
“The last thing I wanted was to leave tonight knowing we didn’t leave things on good terms.
She added that she managed to get some closure on her relationship with James and believes he understands why she’s leaving.
She concluded: “I will still obviously be in touch with everyone but I feel like after tonight I’ve said my goodbyes, I’ve had my closure and I can now look forward to my future.”
This may not be the last Danielle’s fans will see of her as she is rumoured to be going into the Celebrity Big Brother house in January but they were disappointed with her TOWIE departure.
One tweeted: “If @Daniarmstrong88 is leaving #TOWIE is there any point in even having it anymore. Danielle don’t leave!”
Another viewer wrote: “Feel like I don’t even wanna watch TOWIE anymore now Danielle’s left.”
Someone else posted: “Literally sat and cried watching TOWIE. Danielle’s departure was an emotional one for me.”
Tweeting after the show, Danielle wrote: “Thanks for all the lovely tweets..I’ll miss everyone and being part of @OnlyWayIsEssex I started #towie as a girl & I leave as a woman. Night X.”
