The latest series has been a tough one for Tristan Phipps – who has starred on Made In Chelsea since 2018 – after his recent split from long-term girlfriend Liv Bentley.
And Tristan – who has also dated co-star Verity Bowditch and Love Island star Laura Crane who appeared on the dating show in 2018 – now tells Closer that his roller-coaster love life is down to the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve.
Tristan says, “I’m a hopeless romantic. My recent break-up was hard, so I’m just trying to open myself back up to people.”
True to his word, the new series will see Tristan date another co-star, with trailers showing him locking lips with Yaz Zweegers.
But Tristan admits, once again, things aren’t smooth sailing for him, saying, “I’d broken up with Liv six weeks before we went out to Corsica so I wasn’t looking for anything, but we just got on really well. With Yaz and I, it’s an interesting one. You’ll have to see how it unfolds but it’s obvious why we’re not best mates now…!”
There’s always a boozy dinner party, game of spin the bottle or drunken argument on Made In Chelsea – but now Tristan tells Closer that a lot of the time, the alcohol is limited and they’re actually given an alcohol-free alternative.
Tristan adds, “Whenever they say it’s a dinner party day, it’s like, ‘Oh shitt’. We know it’s going to be a big day. But a lot of the alcohol is fake – most of the time it’s just Schloer. We play truth or dare sober!”
