Good Morning Britain viewers were thrilled this morning to have a familiar face back on their screens as Susanna Reid returned to work after two weeks of isolating at home.
Susanna made the decision to stay home from work and tune in every day via video link after her son began showing mild symptoms of coronavirus.
But today she was back in the studio with co-host Piers Morgan sitting a safe distance away from each other and some fans took to social media to share their delight.
“Welcome back. We need someone to balance out the Piers Morgan rants,” said one viewers, while another wrote, “Nice to see your beautiful face back on our screens.”
“Great to see you back Susanna!!” said a third and one more added, “You are looking good on screen today Susanna. All of you, stay safe and well.”

However, plenty of viewers questions whether it was really ‘essential’ that she and Piers be in the studio at all, with one writing, “No need to be anywhere near a studio - complete hypocrisy.”
“So how did you and piers get there today?” asked another. “Taxi? Train? Bus? Non essential travel. Not really practicing what you preach. Also weather girl outside, essential?”

One more said, “Great to have you back but is it essential to have sent the weather reporter out on the streets today? What’s going on? Esp after criticising non essential travel?”
Back in 2017 Susanna opened up about how she keeps her temper around her controversial colleague, saying, “The chemistry somehow works. I’m not really quite sure why. But, I have a newfound respect for Piers' actual wife Celia Walden, because I have to play his TV wife three mornings a week.
"People say, 'How do you put up with him?' and I say, 'Think of Celia. Just think of Celia.' All hail the queen of tolerance and patience.”
