Last night's Eurovision was as extravagant, glamorous and entertaining as ever.
But it didn't take long for the drama to unfold - and not in the way we anticipated.
During UK ambassador SuRie's exciting performance, a protestor managed to beat security to get on-stage and steal the singer's mic, before screaming to the audience about "freedom".
The star was poised and professional during the incident, and continued to sing after the protestor was removed.
SuRie was also offered the chance to perform again, but she declined.
Now, the singer has taken to Twitter to comment on the incident personally.
Making light of what happened, she wrote, "Well, I've always said anything can happen at Eurovision ..."
She has been praised by how well she handled the stage invasion, with Graham Norton saying she did "incredibly well".
“I can’t stress how well she did," he said, as he fronted the BBC's coverage of the contest.
Israel won this year's contest with a performance from Netta Barzilai, while SuRie finished three places from the bottom at 24th.
Fans praised SuRie on Twitter following her impressive performance of track Storm, with one writing, "You made us all proud tonight, you were such a professional- please represent us next year too!"
Another added, "You amazing amazing woman. I am so proud of you, you have achieved so much tonight and shown your strength as an artist and as a person! X"
