The start date for this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing has been announced, which means summer is pretty much over and it's time to change the iced latte coffee order to a hot PSL.

According to reports, the battle for the Glitterball trophy will commence on Saturday 23 September 2023.

The first episode usually features the latest line-up of celebs finding out which dance professional they will be coupled up with, as well as what dance will be their first.

The 15 celebrities taking part in Strictly this year were confirmed last month. They are:

Who are the Strictly Come Dancing 2023 judges?

Head judge Shirley Ballas will be joined by returning judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse. Anton Du Beke will also be returning to the panel after it was announced that he would be officially replacing Bruno Tonioli.

Speaking about his appointment as a permanent judge, Anton said, “Woohooo! This is BRILLIANT news. Everyone knows how much I absolutely love the show and I’m utterly delighted to be continuing as a regular judge. And I get to make the final again – now I know how Giovanni feels!”

The professionals taking part this year are as follows; Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Jowita Przystal, Giovanni Pernice, Nikita Kuzmin, Carlos Gu, Vito Coppola, Michelle Tsiakkas, Gorka Marquez, Johannes Radebe, Neil Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu and Lauren Oakley.

Who is hosting Strictly Come Dancing 2023?

Long-running hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are returning once again to host series 20. Tess has hosted every series of Strictly from the beginning, but did you know a different TV presenter was originally producers' first choice?

Rylan announced that he would NOT be returning for It Takes Two and has been replaced by Fleur East who was a Strictly contestant back in 2022, where she made it all the way to the final alongside dance partner Vito Coppola.
