Poor Melvin Odoom has become the first celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2016 after dancing the Tango to 'Movin On Up'.
His Tango wasn't well recieved by the judges, who described the dance as 'stompy' and bemoaned his right shoulder action.
As the lines opened for the first time this series so viewers could vote for their favourite, it was Melvin and Anastacia that had to face the dreaded dance off.
However, because of Anastacia's painful injury she sustained in training was aggravated by hitting the dancefloor earlier that night - the dance off couldn't take place.
Under the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, if a contestant cannot dance in the Dance Off this means there cannot be a Dance Off - leaving the couple with the fewest number of votes having to leave the comptetition.
Despite all the drama, Melvin and his dance partner Janette Manrara (who competed with Peter Andre last year) still had a smile on his face whilst recieving the news.
Addressing his early exit, Melvin said: “I just need to say, every single person on this show; the contestants, the dancers, the production, the judges, everyone is absolutely amazing. It’s a blessing to be on the show and thank you for Janette, it’s been a great experience for me, thank you!”
Janette added: “In this industry, we get to meet a lot of different kind of people and I think Melvin is one of those individuals that you meet and never forget from the first moment you meet them. He’s got such a beautiful soul, such a gorgeous smile, an infectious personality and I just want to thank you for making this, although short, an extremely sweet journey amazing for me.”
Awwwwwwwww, poor Melv! He'll definitely be missed.
