The big wigs behind The Real Housewives have announced that an exciting new Housewives franchise set in London is in the works for 2025 – and naturally, we've lost it here at Closer HQ.

The news was announced at Hayu FanFest in the capital over the weekend – a fan-focused event hosted by the service at Magazine London – where it was confirmed that The Real Housewives of London, produced by the team behind The Real Housewives of Cheshire and Made in Chelsea, will be Hayu's first ever original series.

Naturally, we're already envisioning the iconic crossovers with our Cheshire Queens before the show has even been cast.

The series is expected to be released towards the end of 2025, and will go into production towards the start of the new year.

'We couldn’t be more excited to be making the announcement of The Real Housewives of London tonight,' commented Olga Puzanova, SVP Marketing, Hayu & International Direct-To-Consumer, NBCUniversal. 'Our fans have been vocal for London to be featured in the iconic The Real Housewives universe for a long time now and we are thrilled to confirm that the wait is finally over. We are delighted to give our fans exactly what they’ve been asking for, so get ready for some of London’s most fabulous and fiery personalities to shake things up. The drama, the glamour, and the unforgettable moments are all coming exclusively to Hayu, and we can’t wait for you to dive in.'

Casting is apparently 'currently underway to find the perfect combination of personalities to showcase the glamour of living in the UK’s dynamic capital city', and while no names have been linked to the new series as of yet, that hasn't stopped fans from sharing their dream line-up on social media.
