According to The Sun, the women - some of whom have first-hand experience with the illness - pocketed sums much higher than the £4,000 that was split between charities such as CoppaFeel!, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.
A TV source told the publication: "Viewers were made to think The Real Full Monty: Ladies Night was all about raising awareness and funds for breast cancer.
"While it did raise huge awareness and encourage viewers to check their bodies a host of the stars took a massive payday in the name of charity."
The source added that it was "appalling" that this wasn't "made clear" to viewers and that fans would be "furious" that they'd been paid "such huge sums."
The publication have also reported that after being contacted by them, ITV have removed all references from their website that the show was "in the name of charity."
The Ladies Night version of the show was aired one day after the men's show, featuring celebs such as Jeff Brazier, James Argent and Ainsley Harriott which raised awareness of prostate cancer.
An ITV spokesman told The Sun: "The Real Full Monty shows’ focus and aim was raising awareness about cancer and encouraging people to make vital health checks. They clearly weren’t television charity fundraisers.
"They were ITV’s most watched factual shows this year, with overwhelmingly positive feedback."
Fans of the show have taken to Twitter to express their shock.
However, others stood up for the celebs, pointing out that it should have been made clearer that raising money for charity wasn't the focus of the show.
